David Blaze, Children's Author is the award-winning author and writer of several highly imaginative children's books, including Disney Frozen 2: The Deluxe Junior Novelization, Epic Kids, Select Your Superpower, and My Fox Ate My Homework. His goal is to create children's books that are fun, hilarious, adventurous, and honest for kids of all ages and from all backgrounds.
My name is David Blaze. Well, sort of. My middle name is David, and my son's middle name is Blaze. We live in Orlando, Florida with my wife, a chiweenie, and a miniature goldendoodle. I love Atomic Fireball candy and Blaze loves every form of noodles. You never have to guess what he's doing because he's either playing Roblox or creating YouTube videos.
When Blaze was four years old, I wrote a book for him to read when he got older. It was my first children's book, and I named it My Fox Ate My Homework. I didn't know it would spawn a series, selling more than 100,000 copies, and allow me to leave my job. It became an AR book, and Blaze passed the test in second grade (he's twelve years old and in the sixth grade as of this writing.) There are now seven books in the series.
As Blaze got older, I wrote adventure, action, and sci-fi books for kids his age. It started with Epic Kids, then Select Your Superpower, and My Middle Name Is Minecraft. I wanted to write a Roblox book for kids, but I contacted the company and they said Roblox books for kids are not allowed. Zander wasn't happy about this, so I gave him some noodles.
Unfortunately, my writing is slower now because I became disabled with multiple sclerosis in 2024, but I write here and there, pieces at a time. I'm truly excited by the superhero book I've been putting together, and can't wait to show it to you one day.
My mission remains the same as it has since Day 1: To create children's books that are fun, hilarious, adventurous, and honest for kids of all ages and from all backgrounds.
